Being A Godly Example (Part 2)

We know through Scripture and in our lives we live that there are only two kinds of examples - good ones and bad ones. I believe that every Christian who ever lived has been on both sides, I also believe if we would truly pray and seek God on behalf of everything, we would save ourselves a lot of trouble and be less of a bad example. We said last week that a Godly example is someone who is deeply rooted in God's love and obey's God's commands and that we can't be a Godly example apart from knowing and following the Word of God, this is the written and spoken Word of God. Our lives should always show others that God is bigger than our troubles and that in our troubles is where our example is shown the most. Our obedience to God will reflect a love for God and therefore always produce a good example.

Living As A Godly Example

A Godly example is someone who is deeply rooted in God’s love and obeys God’s commands. We cannot be a Godly example apart from knowing and following the Word of God. When a person gets saved, the people around them should begin to notice a change, this is not a forceable change, it becomes our new nature to be like Christ. Paul said we are being “transformed” into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. Let’s all take it real serious that our example can mean life or death to the people that come in and out of our lives. People will most often read our lives before they read the Bible. The good news of Jesus Christ is more than just facts to be believed, It is also a life to be lived - a life of righteousness.

God Is Able!

Able = Having the power, skill, means, or opportunity to do something. What an amazing statement. God is always trying to prove or demonstrate His faithfulness to His beloved Children. I used the word “trying” carefully. In using this word, I’m not saying that God may not be able, I’m saying that God has to have someone who believes in the power of God and not limit His ability. We cannot be helped if we believe there is something God Himself can’t fix. I believe that all of us need something fixed in our lives. Will you believe with me today that what is impossible with man is possible with God? Let’s stand together and believe that God is able to fulfill His Word and keep His promises to us!

What Is God's WIll For You? Pt. 2

Have you ever stopped and thought about God creating you and already having a full, detailed plan for your life? A plan that He never intended to hide from us, a plan that is only revealed through relationship - prayer. God's Word is clear that when we begin to find our purpose in life. When we walk with God, we can be sure that the way He is leading us is the best. Most people want God to save them but don't ever fully give Him control of their lives. Are you willing this morning to pray from your heart for God's will for your life to be done and truly mean it from your heart? If so, your life and future plans will change for the better. Proverbs 16:9 says "A man's heart plans his way But the Lord directs his steps." You want to know your lifes purpose? Feed on God's Word, let yourself become totally dependent on His leading, grow your faith. We will never see or walk in God's will without faith! Once we begin to totally walk in God's perfect will for our lives we will not want "our will" back. His will gives us true purpose. Will you count the cost?
